9 weeks

 Whoa Belly!!
Oh my goodness. I should not have done this comparison. I almost cried. I am 100% excited about our baby growing and growing. Just not so happy that this mama is growing and growing so soon. Look at my awesome flat stomach that I'll probably never ever have again. I can't believe how much of a difference there is in 5 weeks. The sad part is, in the 4 week picture Matt called me out on "you're pushing out your stomach"...this week he called me out on "you were sucking in!" I wonder how big this little bean is going to be!!

How Far Along? 9 weeks

How Big is Baby? Our baby is now the size of a green olive. According to one of my apps, our baby now actually looks like a baby. I love that :)

Total Weight Gain: holding steady at 9 lbs. I'll be happy if I just gain 10 during my first trimester. I don't need to gain more than that right now. I started at 120.5 lbs and now weigh 129.6 lbs. Yikes.

Maternity Clothes? One of my dance moms just gave me an entire shopping bag full! A lot of it I can't wear until it starts to get a bit warmer out. I'll be fine for the rest of January with my current jeans because I have a belly band and my pair of leggings. I wear my dance clothes most days anyways.

Stretch Marks? Not yet. I'm really trying to remember to put lotion on, but I'm horrible at it.

Sleep: I sleep okay. I've been getting really hot at night.

Best Moment this Week: This was the first week of my winter dance quarter so it's gone really fast. The best moments now are getting to tell more and more people.

Miss Anything:  Not having food aversions and being able to eat whatever I want.

Movement: Not yet, but I wish.

Food Cravings: No true cravings yet. There are times when certain things sound really yummy though!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Food. I've been having a hard time eating when I start to think about eating. Smells make me lose my appetite. Not get sick, but lose my appetite for sure. When Matt cooks meat I have to leave the room. Sick.

Gender: Won't know for 10 more weeks. That's so long from now...

Labor Signs: Too early.

Symptoms: breast tenderness, food aversions, winded easily, extreme tiredness mid-day everyday (same as last week). I get SO winded and tired while I dance. I told my dance moms that I felt like I was my husband trying to teach a dance class today, lol.

Belly Button in or out: In thank goodness!

Happy or Moody most of the time? So happy and also quicker to get frustrated. Thats mostly with Matt (poor guy).

Looking Forward to: Announcing our baby to the whole world tomorrow night.

**Update: I found out today that my blood type is O Negative. I'll need to get a shot at 28 weeks so that if our blood mixes that my body does not reject the pregnancy. All my blood work came back great besides that. :)

8 Weeks (3 days)

**Oops, I keep forgetting to post this. I'm getting my team kids ready for competition and have practice with them everyday, Monday-Sunday until next month. Matt and I also forgot to take the picture this week :( **

How Far Along? 8 weeks (3 days)

How Big is Baby? Our baby is now as big as a raspberry.

Total Weight Gain: 8 huge lbs. Lori told me that it's fine and she expects me to gain 35-40 lbs. this pregnancy because I started out so small. She said as long as I'm not coming in each appointment gaining another 10 lbs that she's not worried about me. I am though, I'm not feeling very good about my body right now. I can't wait for it to look like a real bump.

Maternity Clothes? I bought my first pair of maternity leggings and now have 2 maternity bras. One nursing regular bra which I actually do not find comfortable at all, and my new favorite bra of all time, my padded maternity sports bra. I bought it at The Bump which is a boutique at our mall and I will be buying at least 3 more. Especially since I wear sports bras everyday for work. One of my team moms just had a baby and is giving me all her maternity clothes in a few days! :)

Stretch Marks? Not yet.

Sleep: I sleep just fine. I get tired early still, but have been waking up early. That's probably a good thing to get used to! I wake up every morning between 6:30-7:30 to pee. Time to start practicing waking up early I guess...

Best Moment this Week: Having our ultrasound and hearing our sweet baby's heart beating so strong. Seeing our Little Bean was amazing. 2nd best day of my life (other than marrying Matt) :)

Miss Anything:  nope.

Movement: Not yet, but I wish.

Food Cravings: I was craving chicken parmesan all week, then finally had it and didn't like it at all. Usually I love it so much! Sad. This week I also have been loving blueberry waffles. I wanted some so bad the other day so Matt went out at 11:30pm to get them...thanks honey :)

Anything making you queasy or sick: I get queasy when I don't eat before I'm hungry. If I get hungry, I feel sick. So I try to snack often. Also really strong smells for dinner make me sick. Last night I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich for dinner because that's all that sounded good. Matt had stir fry and the smell of his dinner made me not be able to eat mine. :(

Gender: Now I don't know...I have been thinking boy this whole times but there were a few times this week where I was sure it's a girl. I don't know anymore now. My aunt and everyone else are certain it's a girl. My aunt already has started buying tons of girl clothes. I told her to stop lol, but she said she's that certain....we'll seeeeeeeee.....

Labor Signs: Too early.

Symptoms: breast tenderness, food aversions, winded easily, extreme tiredness mid-day everyday

Belly Button in or out: In thank goodness!

Happy or Moody most of the time? So SO happy!

Looking Forward to: Telling everyone else. I'm getting annoyed of hiding it. I have told a ton of people. I taught dance yesterday morning and just talked to everyone about it. I'm done holding it in. I'm ready to put it on FB so all of our family and friends know. Matt wants to hold off. We'll see how long we can wait.

Telling My Dance Kids

Tonight I had my dance team parents come in for a last minute "meeting" hehe. I'm so sneaky.
When they came in I actually did have some things to talk to them about and then they all started packing up getting ready to go. I said, "Oh wait, wait! I have quick fun little announcement." Then one of my moms yelled out "YOU'RE PREGNANT!" Hehe. Then I repeated, "I'M PREGNANT!"

My team moms and girls were all so excited (remember I own a dance studio).
My Junior girls (ages 8-13) were already all about volunteering to be babysitters and said, "We get to be their big sisters!"
------------
I'll tell you what Little Bean...you're the luckiest little baby in the world to have so many big sisters who are going to love on you so so much! You'll also have like 20 more moms and dads who will be there to take care of you while Mommy is coaching :) They'll get to watch you grow up all the way. Most of them were at our wedding, and now they get to meet you too!
------------
Today is really one day I never want to forget either. The girls already are calling our baby, "Little Bean" and telling each other things like, "Stop being so loud, you're going to give Miss Chelsea a headache and hurt the bean!" One of my kids jumped on my back when I was sitting down and in unison a few of them said, "THE BEAN!" Ha. I assured them I was okay :) One of my moms said she's going to bring me in a lawn chair while I coach each night. LOL. A few of my moms are sure it's going to be a girl due to baby's HR being 164. We'll see..............
Ha, one of my dads came up to me at the end and gave me a squeeze and said, "Does Matt know?" Ha, very funny Mr.! I love my dance family. Living so far away from home, they really are an extension of family and mean the world to me. I've had some of their kids for 3 years now. 3 year olds that are 6 now, 10 year olds that are now 13... :)

Such a fun memory today!

Our First Appointment & U/S!

We have a baby!
Our sweet Little Bean!

7 Weeks 6 Days
HR: 164 (never  heard anything more beautiful in all my life).

I was sick to my stomach nervous this morning. Woke up 3 hours too early and then had to wait all morning with the worst butterflies of my life.

We got there and of course, I forgot my insurance card. Matt offered to run back home to grab it (7 min. drive). I figured he'd be just fine getting back in time so I wasn't too worried. Well then, he wasn't answering his phone (surprise, surprise lol) and my name was called. I went back with the nurse, peed in the cup, got weighed, had my blood pressure taken, changed and got all set on the table waiting for Lori and MATT. I thought for sure he was going to miss it. Then just a minute after she walked in, in walks my hubby. We were ready to go and he didn't miss it : ) Thank God!

I had a vaginal ultrasound today because she wanted to hear the heartbeat and we're still early for the doppler. The second that wand touched me we heard it instantly. Wooh Wooh- Wooh Wooh....
I said, "Oh wow, is that mine?" For real, I didn't think we were going to get to hear our babies heartbeat this early. Lori said, "No...that's your baby!" I cried right away. Hands over my face crying. Then she turned the screen our way and showed us our beautiful baby.

Matt held my hand the whole time with lots of "I love you" squeezes.
It was the best. By far one of the best moments of my whole life.

We left and had Starbucks downstairs (our hospital is amazing), took a belly photo and headed to Babies R Us (while calling our families along the way). We were going to buy our glider today but I was too indecisive once we got there.

Instead, Matt suggested we check out the Disney Store. We walked in and immediately saw the huge Peter Pan display they have up. Complete with an announcement about the DVD release, all the stuffed animals including all the Lost Boys, Michael, John & Wendy, Tiger Lily (extra special), Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Tic Toc, and of course Peter :) They also had a beautiful snow globe. So what did we do???
A women was looking at me like I was a crazy women because I practically screamed, "I want to buy them all! All of it! Everything on display!" Ha...so...we did! Matt grabbed a bag and I grabbed 12 stuffed guys and our new beautiful snow globe that plays "You Can Fly". *Sigh*
We also pre-ordered the dvd/blu ray and with that got 4 photos we can frame!

After our shopping spree, we headed to Maggianno's for lunch. My favorite! We have leftovers for at least a week lol.

Then I got to buy maternity leggings and a maternity sports bra for dance at The Bump in the mall.

Lance just came over to help us throw out our old couches and we're getting our new one tonight.

I cannot believe that our baby is so healthy and perfect. I told Lori before she started today that I was sure today was going to be a sad day. Nope. I need to stop reading thebump.com it only makes me worry. I am officially never going on that site again. We have an amazing little baby with the most beautiful heartbeat I've ever heard!

Other than marrying Matt, this may be the best day of my life...
I'm a mommy!
